How the tool handles UPSC
Because no pixel size is stated for the photo, you can crop freely; we save up to 600 px on the longest side (a MondayKit default) and compress into 20–200 KB. For the triple signature, the longest side is capped at 500 px and the shorter side is kept at 350 px or more (a white margin is added if your crop is narrow), so both sides stay inside the 350–500 px range; the file is compressed into 20–100 KB. Downloads are named photo.jpg and signature.jpg as UPSC asks. See UPSC triple signature for a step-by-step guide.
Common rejection reasons
- File outside the KB range (too big or too small).
- Wrong format – the portal expects JPG/JPEG, not PNG or HEIC (convert iPhone photos with HEIC to JPG).
- Coloured or shadowed background instead of plain white.
- Face too small, ears hidden, or a cap, mask or dark glasses.
- Signature in CAPITAL letters, in pencil, or on lined paper.
