What is Sign PDF?
Sign PDF adds a visual signature to a document without printing and scanning. Draw with your mouse, finger or stylus, type your name in one of three handwriting fonts, or upload a photo of your signature. Drawn signatures have a transparent background so they sit naturally on the page.
When to use it
- Sign a rental agreement or offer letter on your phone.
- Add your signature and date to a form before emailing it back.
- Initial each page of a document.
- Sign school or society forms without a printer.
Tips for the best result
- Sign with a finger on a phone for the most natural look.
- Place the signature, then use the size slider to fit the line.
- Add a date stamp next to your signature from the Text box.
Limits and privacy
This creates a visual (electronic) signature, not a certified digital signature with a cryptographic certificate. Check whether your recipient requires a certified signature. Processing happens entirely in your browser, so your data never leaves your device and there is nothing to sign up for. Files are processed in your browser and never uploaded.
