Strong password generator

Create secure random passwords or passphrases with a strength meter – generated on your device.

Processed in your browser. Files are never uploaded.

Type

Choose at least one character set.

How to use the password generator

  1. Choose length and character sets, or switch to passphrase mode.

  2. Optionally exclude ambiguous characters like O and 0.

  3. Check the strength meter (entropy in bits).

  4. Copy the password, or generate up to 50 at once.

  • No upload

Your files are processed on your device and never sent anywhere.

  • Free, no signup

No account, no watermark and no daily limit.

  • Fast

No upload or download wait – results appear in seconds.

What is Password generator?

Password generator creates random passwords with the browser’s cryptographically secure random number generator (crypto.getRandomValues) – never Math.random. Passphrase mode picks words from the EFF short wordlist, giving memorable phrases that are still very hard to guess.

When to use it

  • Create a unique password for every new account.
  • Generate a memorable master passphrase for a password manager.
  • Bulk-create temporary passwords for new team members.
  • Make strong Wi-Fi passwords.

Tips for the best result

  • Aim for at least 80 bits of entropy for important accounts.
  • A 5-word passphrase is easier to type than a 16-character password.
  • Store passwords in a password manager, not a notes app.

Limits and privacy

Passwords are generated and shown only in this tab; we cannot recover them later. Processing happens entirely in your browser, so your data never leaves your device and there is nothing to sign up for. Files are processed in your browser and never uploaded.

Many people who use Password generator also need QR code generator or Word counter, and Case converter is one click away. Every MondayKit tool works the same way – open the page, add your input, get the result – with no account, no watermark and no upload.

Frequently asked questions

How long should a password be?

At least 14–16 random characters, or a passphrase of 5 or more random words, for important accounts.

Is this generator secure?

Yes. It uses crypto.getRandomValues, the browser’s cryptographically secure random generator – never Math.random – and runs on your device.

What is a passphrase?

Several random words joined together, like tulip-ocean-crate-banjo-ember. Easy to remember and hard to guess.

What does entropy mean?

Entropy, in bits, measures how unpredictable a password is. Each extra bit doubles the number of guesses needed; aim for 80+ bits.

Are generated passwords saved?

No. They exist only in this tab and are never stored or sent.
