What is Text diff checker?
Text diff checker shows what changed between two versions of a text. Additions are marked in green with a “+” and deletions in red with a “−”, so the changes are clear even without colour. It uses the jsdiff library and runs entirely in your browser.
When to use it
- See what changed between two drafts of a contract.
- Compare configuration files or code snippets.
- Check edits an editor made to your article.
- Verify two lists are identical.
Tips for the best result
- Line mode is best for code and lists; word mode for prose.
- Character mode finds tiny typos.
- Side-by-side view is easiest on wide screens.
Limits and privacy
Very large texts (several MB) in character mode can be slow. Processing happens entirely in your browser, so your data never leaves your device and there is nothing to sign up for. Files are processed in your browser and never uploaded.

Many people who use Text diff checker also need Word counter or JSON formatter, and Case converter is one click away. Every MondayKit tool works the same way – open the page, add your input, get the result – with no account, no watermark and no upload.
