Convert PDF pages to PNG privately
Online converters usually upload your PDF to their servers. MondayKit renders each page inside your browser with the open-source pdf.js library, then saves it as a PNG – a lossless format that keeps text and line art sharp. It is the same engine as PDF to JPG, with PNG preselected.
Page size in pixels by DPI
| Page | 72 DPI | 150 DPI | 300 DPI |
|---|---|---|---|
| A4 (210 × 297 mm) | 595 × 842 px | 1240 × 1754 px | 2480 × 3508 px |
| US Letter (8.5 × 11 in) | 612 × 792 px | 1275 × 1650 px | 2550 × 3300 px |
Pixel sizes are calculated from the page size and DPI and may differ by a pixel after rounding.
When PNG is the right choice
- Slides, diagrams and screenshots with small text.
- Images you will edit further, since PNG does not lose quality when re-saved.
- Pages you need with a clean white background for documents or presentations.
Limits
Very long documents at 300 DPI need a lot of memory, so phones may be slow; convert a range at a time. Encrypted PDFs need to be unlocked first. To go the other way, use PNG to PDF or Image to PDF.
