Smaller PNGs, privately
Big PNG screenshots and graphics slow down websites and bounce off upload limits. This page uses the same engine as the image compressor: for PNG files it reduces the number of colours with the UPNG encoder, keeping transparency, and can also resize the image. All of it runs in your browser – services like TinyPNG upload your files, MondayKit does not.
What to expect
| Image type | Typical result | Better option if too large |
|---|---|---|
| Screenshot, UI, chart | Large saving with no visible change | Lower the max width |
| Logo or icon with transparency | Good saving, transparency kept | Convert to WebP |
| Photo saved as PNG | Small saving | PNG to JPG or WebP |
Results depend on the image; the before/after preview and the size on each result show exactly what you got.
Tips
- Set a maximum width (for example 1600 px) for screenshots from high-resolution screens.
- WebP keeps transparency and is usually the smallest, if the place you upload to accepts it.
- For a strict KB limit, see Compress image to 100 KB or 50 KB.
