Use this page as a guide
The Australian Passport Office (APO) does not recommend online photo services or apps, and it asks for studio-style prints. So treat this page as a size guide: the tool shows your photo’s pixel size and lets you preview a 35 × 45 mm crop (413 × 531 px, approx. at 300 DPI). This tool only crops, resizes and checks size. It does not replace backgrounds, retouch faces or decide whether a photo will be accepted.
Common problems
- Face too small: chin to crown must be 32–36 mm on the print.
- Shadows behind the head or on the face.
- Glare on glasses, or hair over the eyes.
